Cesenatico - ancient trading center

Since ancient times Cesenatico has been a fishing and trading centre and still today life revolves around the port canal, designed by Leonardo. Here a fleet of modern fishing boats are moored and characteristic restaurants look out over the port, offering their traditional and famous seafood dishes.
The open-air Maritime Museum can be visited on the port canal where there is an almost unique collection of antique boats, whose sails and hulls bear witness to centuries of fishing and maritime trade.
For sport-lovers Cesenatico offers many opportunities to "enliven" your holidays.

The beach

The history of these beaches is a long one. Among people's dreams, a nice holiday by the sea has always played an important part.

The sea-bed is soft, without holes or currents and is gently sloped, making the area especially suited to children. The temperature is already mild in May and remains pleasant through September.
